Heys everyone! Jems been absent from this place for more than a month! Sorrie for my disappearance, but i really was simply too lazy to blog! A lot has happened but im not gonna talk bout the past cus im too lazy to recall.. (see a trend forming here?)

anyways a few updates.. jems is still single so nothing new about that.. =p wads new is that hes finally a coach! hahaha! what a noob.. ohh his extremely sexy red samsung slidephone is SPOILT cus of retards who borrow his phone just to play the sliding thingy.. really wants to buy the iphone but is too cheapo to fork out a fortune for a phone thats gonna be outdated soon.. so im using mel's crappy sony ericsson phone for now..

and oh before i forget.. *Inside Joke Alert* Lance says he only knows termite, dunno Marmite! =))

due to overwhelming disbelief that my first was the first part of my body to see the light of day, I've took some of my precious time off my busy busy schedule to do some research. here's wad i discovered:

A breech birth is the birth of a baby from a breech presentation. In the breech presentation the baby enters the birth canal with the buttocks or feet first as opposed to the normal head first presentation.

Frank breech - the baby's bottom comes first, and his or her legs are flexed at the hip and extended at the knees (with feet near the ears). 65-70% of breech babies are in the frank breech position.

Footling breech - one or both feet come first, with the bottom at a higher position. This is rare at term but relatively common with premature fetuses.

Erm. Actually I don't really know whats there to be happy about anyway. Maybe I'm happy to belong somewhere, after bumming around for so long. Or maybe, just maybe, I'm silently hoping that school starts soon! Nah. Strike that out. I'm guessing the kid in me is happy that I can play with the gantries and lifts at the entrances of all the SMU schools.. =))

It's truly awesome to not have a job nor commitment, to plan each week as it comes and be really spontaneous about all my dates! Yet at the same time, it's tough having to think about every dollar spent, cus nothing is flowing in. And I still want my Guitar Hero World Tour on Wii!!!! ..and my HP Voodoo Envy 133. =/

CNY is coming! And Im spending it in Singapore. =/ Thought can go Cherating/Bintan with the WWKru/Clams to siam all the meaningless visiting and annoying relatives. Bleah.

But it's okie la, cus Jems is going to Ramunia for THE ENTIRE WEEEKK! hahaha! so I'll be out of Singapore from 13th to 22nd Feb. Take that down in ur diaries.. =)

This week had been awesome! Went out a lot, so I'm like damn happie. =) I think I'm easily happie. TOOO EASILY!

Watched Yes Man with YuRong on Monday. =) It's an awesome show and it's damn funny too! YuRong LOL'ed like, for half of the show? Hahaha! It's that funny! But if I ever go to Marina Square with anyone, please remind me to bring a jacket. =/ Then we had dessert at my not-so-secret-anymore dessert place. =D

Thursday night was spent with Buddy SinYee! She brought me around the *NEW* Jurong Point. In my opinion, it is still pretty damn boring. =/ Ended up at Old JP for dinner. Sorrie, West side people. Ohh and it is.. SCANDAL TIME!! Bumped into a scandalous couple at Jurong Point! Lalalala! My mouth will be sealed for a price! =))

Ohh and my most anticipated outing this week! Spent yesterday with who else but.. BEE! Hahaha yeah we finally went out. Just dinner at my not-so-secret-anymore Jap place, and damn-another-person-knows dessert place. I like her energy! Haha, and Bee, if you're reading this, everything I said about you was true, right? =p

Gonna go out today with Mummy now, for the first time in a hundred million years! Going to the wavey bridge thing at Telok Blangah. Some treetop walk I think. Hope its fun!

The Odac BBQ on Sunday night was awesome! Thanks 24th Comm for organising it, though ppl normally DONT order that much food for a bbq. =p

Seeing all the generations of Odac coming together was great, but what wasn't great was the absence of my entire batch. If you're all wondering what I've been disappointed with, it's that only a meagre 3 ppl from my batch made it for Mr Chin's farewell. Considering that 21st Comm, who didn't even know Mr Chin, could muster 5 people to turn up, I'm embarrassed through and through.

Im kinda sick and tired of seniors and juniors and teachers asking me, "How come your Comm so few people turned up?", and Im sick of defending and explaining how busy my Comm members are.

Fuck it.

IM BACK! MUAHAHAHA!!!

My 2-and-a-half week holiday is SiChuan has finally ended! And I think everyone has realized that Jems didnt blog a single time on this trip, compared to like 3 times in a week for Beijing. That's cus I was having a freaking good time! Haha! Shows how much I enjoyed the crappy Beijing rubbish tourist crap.

Oh, and before I forget,

Happie Christmas and a Merrie New Year!!

Well the major reason we went was for ice climbing and the trek up a 5000m high mountain, but personally my highlights were the snowboarding and meeting the fathers of Singapore climbing!

My trainers for the ice climbing were Mr. Lim Kim Boon and Mr. Leong Chee Mun. The climbers and outdoorsy people will definitely know them, and Im considered lucky to meet them at such a young age, considering Im no one in the outdoor scene. Extremely humble and modest for their achievements, I hope to learn more from them!

The snowboarding at XiLinXueShan is now DIRT CHEAP. It's 120 yuan/2 hrs, inclusive of equipment! thats like.. $25 for 2 hrs?? Less than a third the price to freakin cable ski at East Coast! LoL. The 3 days at XiLin was pure awesome-ness! Im planning to go back soon! And the bonus is that I got to know a new friend there, hereby simply known as Snowboard Chick. We didnt exchange phone numbers or anything, so if we even become friends, thats fate. ;)

I wanna thank the people who msg'ed me during the trip. I love u. ;)

WWHHHHEEEEEEE!! I'll be leaving Singapore for in another 18 hours! My long-awaited winter holiday in SzeChuan is finally coming. =) Just realized I haven't blogged in the last, idk, 10 days? And also haven't been meeting up and going out with anyone, cus Jems had been reeaaalllyy busy preparing for the trip. Being the Noob I am, I have ZERO suitable gears for the trip, so I had been running around troubling people to lend me their stuff. Now I have everything! Well, maybe not. Still need to go China and get some more stuff. =(

And here's a brief itinenary of my holiday:
18th Dec - Arrival! Settle down & SHHOOPP!
19th to 22nd - Skiing and Snowboarding! WoohooOO~
23rd - Travel to ice climbing site
24th to 27th - Ice Climb!
28th - Rest, andd.. SHHOOPPP!!!
29th to 31st - Trek up to summit and backk
1 Jan - Travel back to City, then.. SSHHOOPPP!
2nd - Departure!

Yyeah. That was really brief.

First time I'll spend Christmas and New Year overseas! I'm damn excited!! Shall see you guys again in January! =)

Wakeboarded with the WhiteWaterKru this morning! At the CableSkiPark though, at East Coast. It's the second time I'm there. And ohh! New personal best! Went all the way to the first corner, which is more than a quarter of a round. HahAhA! Yeahh I know I suck, but compared to the first time there with Enric, I've really improved loads! Our virgin experience basically consisted of us trying to launch off. =/

I've got new Mad Rocks! Got 'em yesterday at Campers' Corner! Super lucky, cus there's a sale going on at Campers' Corner right now. All designs and sizes of Mad Rocks are going at $70 only! Haha yay! Ohh and playboated with Jacob and Hee at SP after that. Actually, no. THEY playboated, while I just watch, took videos and tried a few monkey stunts. I can't playboat. I suck.

The MSN conversation with Bee just now, it really ended on a frigging depressing note.. I'm moody right now.. =/

im ssoooo sorrie i havent updated this space for wad seems like ages. jems been really busy preparing for szechuan, trying to pass my kayaking assessment, and organising class gathering and myra's dinner.. sounds like a lot? add in blading with Sinyee at east coast, playing badminton w keyf and changt and cycling on ubin!

hahaha this is wad holidays are made of! and the next 3 months of my holiday is slowly taking shape.. going batu caves and hopefully cherating with the outdoor peeps, and ramunia with the changi ppl.. and i still hope can go bali! dont forget japan in april!

but first things first la.. im leaving on the 18th of dec and coming back on 3rd jan! so sorrie odacians! cant spend christmas and new yr with u guys.. im gonna have a white christmas! been so busy getting my gear and equipment.. have to beg ppl to lend me.. and im still lacking in ssoo many things.. zzz.. dunno if im really prepared.. though im super glad ive the chance to go ice climbing.. =))

ppl keep asking me, am i a water person, or a land person. they're forcing me to choose between kayaking+wakeboarding vs. climbing+trekking! to clear things up, ive no answer to that question. i really cant choose! though theres a great chance that jems will be an air person. i really dream of BASE jumping and wanna do it some day..

and dawn, bee.. i really cant believe i nearly joined a netball camp! =p

The best paragraph I've read to reflect my thoughts towards beauty. To sum that up in my own words: Mere beauty is common and uninteresting. I love that book. =)) Despite it being for the opposite gender. Harh.

It's interesting how guys can chance upon a girl and just go *snap*, "I like that girl!". What does he know about her? And about her character, about her friends, about her personality, about her likes and loves? Or does it not matter? As I told SinYee just today, all guys are superficial jerks.

On the other extreme, it's curious how girls need the guy to be totally committed before she and her friends put him through a trial of shit tests and compliance tests and makes sure that he jumps through her hoops.

Must it always be so complex and sophisticated? The short answer is no. As Gordon says, "Single is best!!!!!!!", and Jeremy agrees totally. Having dependable friends to be available helps, of course. havent blogged in a while, not only cus im lazy, but everythings been rather depressing.. its all going downhill after the BeiJing trip, and i find myself more alone than i can remember.. even the 1 star course over the weekend was pretty sucky.. had to keep crapping and entertaining my participants though i felt rather siann.. but at least Ivy-jie was happie la.. =)

but every cloud has a silver lining, and everything badd has something good coming out of it.. for me, its knowing how good/pathetic some of my frens/'frens' are.. as ive always said, the best frens are those u can call at 3am, just to talk.. =)) i hope im a good fren too..

frens arent there only for the happie times and laughter.. frens are there for the dark hours too, and thats where they matter even more.. im uber grateful and appreciative.. =)

it's freezing now in beijing! -2 degrees is inda fun though.. ohh and im going to ChengDe tmr for one day.. the highest temperature is a chilly -2 degrees, and the temperature at night drops to, well, a warm and nice -14 degrees.. =) sounds like fun.. i hope my braces dont contract too much.. lol!

bahhhh i miss everyonee! hope everyone's doing well enough for exams! and guys, ORD lo! hahahaha.. ahh ive to go now.. my bill yesterday night came to about S$12. screw it.

HELLO, SINGAPORE!! ;)

Jems is currently in BeiJing, where the temperature is a frigging -2 degrees.. =) and u know wads the best part? winter's only just begun, so its just gonna get even colder.. =)) but im getting used to the cold..

different story on the first day though.. i was smiling at the stewardess as i got off the plane when a wall of cold air rushed at me.. like some out of control air con.. and poor jems was wearing only a tshirt and jeans.. wahhh siann! shiver until cant walk! so wad to do? i limped down the staircase to get to the tarmac.. and this super duper old ancient china woman overtook me and sniggered.. &^@&$^&#%!! u think thats badd? wad about waiting on the tarmac for a shuttle bus to come pick us up? i swear i almost died in a heap of frozen bones.. =/ luckily i didnt, cus im strong as a bull.. =))

okiee la i shall tell u guys everything when i get backk.. im at my 5-star hotel's business centre, so internet charges are S$.50 a minute. hehh. anyone who tags the board before i get backk gets a gift! starting from noww.. =p

The past few days had been really happening! Been going out practically everyday, despite everyone having exams and stuff.. and it's all thanks to the Secret Cedarian! watched ●Rec with her on Monday and scared the poo outta ourselves, and brought her to ClimbAsia on Tuesday. so in addition to the only 2 (i believe), who know her identity, mr chin also knows. hahaha!

And yeah the movie was great.. we were closing each others' eyes for some parts.. and i kinda lost my manly image during the show, but it was fun la.. aahhaha! go watch it! and clems i wont mind watching it again with you.. =)

Went to Changi dang early on saturday cus clems wanted to paddle, but after eating pratas and papadums, we settled on playing Wii instead. =) heres a short clip of us, behaving as we normally do:

well if u cudnt hear the sound, the gist is that clems was posing for a photo while i was taking a video, and that i brought everything for the Wii except the power cable. thanks. i know wad ur thinking.. =/

sunday was happening too! went SP to playboat with the Immortals after the round ubin race. and now my back hurts. and the Secret Cedarian is laughing at me. She doesnt know how fortunate she is to go out with me for 2 consecutive days. bleahhh..

shhaggged.. and im using this word even though the Secret Cedarian doesnt allow it due it its 'bad meaning', cus im really totally shhaggged.. just got home from the Healthy Lifestyle Campaign thingy at the Padang. i wasnt there cus ive got a healthy lifestyle la. im about as healthy as a plate of Pork Ribs. =/

but it was fun! as the following video shows..

yes thats me being tossed by the bull.. it was a lot more violent than it looked. =( and my knees got abrasions cus the bull's skin very rough.. =/ but it was fun fun fun! =)) and i won GV tickets and a shoe bag from all the games. the guy next to MeiYing and I, he won a bloody iPod Nano! sigghhhh..

hadd lunch today with the Secret Cedarian again. this time was with a fren, at Manhattan Fish Market! and i pulled a nasty stunt by ordering the Large Lobster Flaming Platter.. the bill came to $96 so i regretted a lot, so i passed $20 to the fren to return to the Secret Cedarian.. guilty that they pay ssoo much.. hahaha the Secret Cedarian is officially my new lunch buddy! lol.. cute.. =p

den went to meet YuQin for dessert and shopping! i bought new slippers! from NewUrbanMale.. i think im turning gay.. goshhh.. we went N.Y.D.C. for coffee and dessert! and i asked the guy wad nydc meant.. now i know! can ask me! =p and i made YuQin laugh until she sprayed chocolate fudge onto my shirt.. like WTF??! thats wad i get for telling a gd joke? =/

den met mummy to shop! bought a great looking parka and leather gloves.. =) and a scarf too! i love scarves.. =) went to a turkish diners for dinner, and got scammed into paying $70 for a meal! dumb noob shit.. ggrrrr..

i just got home! marina barrage opening today.. totally shagged-ed la.. paddled from 10am to like.. 7pm? den went back to CHANGI to have dinner.. like wtf right? lol.. anyways on the way home i met LiangPei! hahahha we seem to have a lot to talk about.. shes nice.. =) she lives opposite j8, so being the gentleman i am, i walked her at the way home through the dark unlit streets.. shes quite funny actually.. changed my impression of her.. hahahaa!

tell u ppl a secret.. went out with a cedarian yesterday.. was quite a spontaneous meeting (i like!) cus she was free and i wanted to look at winterwear for BeiJing and Sichuan.. not sure if i can disclose who she is cus shes attached and i dont wan everyone to have the wrong ideas.. we're purely platonic frens! i think shes cute and nice, but too nice for me la.. im a badd influence.. hahhaa! i readily admit! lol..

WWHHEEEEEE! successfully crashed NUS today! hahahaha.. and this round was ssoo much more fun! started the day meeting jwen to go school tgt.. havent talked to her so much before lei.. always only chat online and sms.. and jwen is nice! wake up early to pei me go school. thats wad i wanna believe. =p heres us cam whoring with her lousy acer webcam! and i look overcooked.. =/ (look at my tshirt. it costs a bomb.)

and went lunching with Fishy, HuaJi and WaMei at engine canteen, cus apparently "a lot of hunks there". but all i saw was GUYS, not HUNKS. bigg differece lei. and osso got quite a lot of gers, not wad i imagined engine to be. den went Fishy's Singapore Society lecture! BINGO'ed with HuaJi all the way, but i was listening, i swear!! hahaa the lecturer was quite funny and he liked to rant a lot. i like. =)) Fishy says im cute. i think thats an understatement. =))

and went xF's Management and Organisation lecture. it wasnt as boring as YuQin made it out to be! but i was scared shitless throughout the lecture cus the prof had assistants going around asking questions. if kena me, literally kena sai! den we went to her room to put our stuff and camwhore a bit, den went JurongPoint for dinner with Clams! hahaa fun!

hey hey! if im gonna spend everyday until august the way i spent today, i think im gonna grow damn white and fat! for your info, i slept until 430! thats like a new record for myself.. the only sign that i was still alive is that i keep waking up to reply msgs and answer calls.. i think its cus it rained ssoo hard today, and my sleeping bagg is ssoooo comfy when it rains! yeahh call me weird, but i use a sleeping bag as a blanket. hehhh..

but after climbing with the slacker gang yesterday, and getting like a ton of invitations to weird places to do weird things, i think i wanna grow white osso cannot. ice climbing in SiChuan, anyone? no? how about rock climbing in Krabi in March? or trail biking in Sabah in Nov? maybe some kayaking to the Southern Islands in Dec? coool ehh.. tempting!!

hey everyone! the weekend overnight sea expedition with the 25th comm was rather enjoyable.. started the trip badly, when i realised i left BOTH my oakley shades in the club. hahahah! stupeed jeremy. and i spent the whole of the first day on the powerboat! but was quite enjoyable la, cus got songsheng, mr chin, BigPrawn and Cigar to talk to..

mr chin wants me to plan a trip to krabi with him for rock climbing! anyone else interested? it shall be in the first week of dec i guess.. =)

and Cigar Ger is daammnn funny and cute! spent the whole of the second day teasing an spalshing water at her. hahaha! but she has a 'secret boyfren' whom everyone knows about la. hahahah!

Had the gathering over at Bukit Timah for a change, cus ODAC outings always happen to be in Bishan or Ang Mo Kio or town. Hehh. And also cus we ran out of new places to go la. hahah! we went to Mad Jack followed by Island Creamery!

My 2-year journey in SCDF is entering the final lap. I've only got 4 more duties to go before I clear about a month of leave. Although I'm damn super happy at getting my freedom back, it's also with a tinge of sadness that I know I'm gonna leave my friends in Rota 2. As the Chinese saying goes, "No banquet under the sky doesnt end". (Haha my Chinese sucks) It is also with a bout of regret that I leave them knowing I didnt invest a lot of time nor effort into my friendship with them.

As i was telling Cedar Serene, friends come and go, and only a few stay close. Applies for me like totally! Maybe it's because I always never invest enough in my friendships for them to be really close, and also maybe because Ive always been quite a guarded person. No one knows everything about me.

Lol I suddenly talking to quite a few Cedars. Serene(shes gd at having conversations), YuRong and *****(the number of *'s is incorrect). HAHAHA the last name only Tecks know. =P our little secret ehh, for now.. =)

If all goes okie, my LASTest duty will be on the 15th Oct. =)) if all goes better, then ill get some off for my F1 involvement and clear leave even earlier! then ill probably go on a short trip before i ORD. =))

muahahahhha! these are the places im planning to drop by before uni starts in august.. BeiJing and ChengDe in Nov is already booked. flying on 13th midnight and coming back on 21st night.. =) gonna see TianAnMen Square, Great Wall, Imerial Summer Resort and quite a lot of places..

TaiWan needs some extra planning though.. myra planning a trip there with Cheez and PhangSehLong in Dec too, so if we plan well, i can extend my stay after my family trip and join em for christmas! =)) double yum!

BaLi's been in the works for the longest time! since i dont know when. july? supposed to be this nov/dec but since its the monsoon season, a trip to the surfers' paradise will consist of only Monopoly and Risk in the leaky budget hotel room. not too appetising i guess. so it's been postponed to march, so i can celebrate my 21st birthday overseas! heee.. =))

and JaPan's in end of march right after BaLi! planning to go TokYo to see the SaKuRas blossom! my mum's dying to go there again.. i think shes been there three or four times.. can u believe that??! and me, not a single time.. yeah and after TokYo, we'll move up north to HoKKaiDo!! like zOMGx right??! muahahahha!!

IM BACKKK! spent 3 days paddling and got through the Basic Whitewater Course! sacrificed some skin and blood to the river gods though, cus i banged my shoulder and neck against a couple of rocks on the last day. was upside down when i went down a rapid. so now theres a painful wound on my shoulder and my neck is pretty screwed up. cant turn my head much without it hurting. =( but i know ill be back to normal after some rest! =)

it's thursday! time to go malaysia again.. =) for basic whitewater course, and although everyone says it's chicken feed compared to our 3 previous sunkai and slim runs, im still having cold feet and harbouring thoughts of backing out last minute..

i think im chicken shit and a scaredy cat, cus i always have such 'shit ive a feeling something will happen so i better not go' kinda thoughts.. happened before WWI, WWII, WWIII and even Ramunia early this year.. and even CityChase! den need to psycho and convince myself to go or something.. but the positive side is that i always manage to bluff myself to go, and i always have the most fun! =))

nowadays i feel like a Pokemon thats evolving. im changing and im not gonna wait for anyone.. u've gotta keep up with me! st nix yuqin and meijie didn't so ive moved on without them.. i used to be ohh sssooo close to them, but now i don't feel anything when they are no longer around.. the only word in my kiddish vocab to describe myself now is 'nonchalent'..

Haven't posted anything in more than a week! Dammnn busy, so I'm hardly home. Have to stop neglecting my family! Especially Mummy. =)

Had a crazy good time at Nat Geo CityChase on saturday! Myra and I were going all over the place in the rain, and we were so wet that when we stood in the NEL train looking at our maps, a puddle of water formed under us. And Singaporeans! It's not nice to STARE, even if we look really weird.

Had two expeditions this week, one on WED with Republic Poly, and another with a public group on Sunday. Got to meet Selamat and Xinyi and a couple of other outdoor instructors on the expedition with RP, they are quite a fun gang! I think almost all outdoor people have the 'O' is BRAVO, and that is OUTGOING.

Sigh I need discipline! My marathon preparation is having so little progress because I always end up too tired to run. And my reports are overdue! Ive got a feeling this is a preview to my time in SMU, where Ill owe all my work and just lag behind. Been like this all the time in school, where I perform the bare minimum all the time, and only do just enough to go where I want when it comes to major exams. This is one thing I MUST change. =/

Time to climb! Tried inviting Mr Chin today, but he's busy or something. Think we'll be coursemates for the Instructor course. hahahah! =)

Friday was UBER IRRITATING! Was told at the last minute to attend a meeting at Div HQ la, and I was late by 20 minutes cus I was locked out of my own dorm. DUMBASSES. At the meeting, everyone was at least a Lieutenant! so I, a puny NSF sergeant, was surrounded by Captains and Majors. So I shut up, took out my notebook, and pretended to copy. Hee. Did that for two and a half hours straight though. Most boring shit ever. ROAR!

Cant wait for November, then ORD, then no need to be arrowed for such rubbish anymore.

Was supposed to cable ski with Jacob that night, but the queue at East Coast was ssoo long! The last time I saw ssoo many Ang Mohs, was when I went Australia. Madness! So change of plans, go food centre eat supper, heh. Met Jon Pang on the way home! Our conversation went something like this:

J-E-R-E-M-Y.. sturdy, sharp and sweet. =) makes the world a better place. heh.

the big run

It's been an entire week since I signed up for the Marathon, and only now have I done my first big run. Not as big as BIG, as it was a mere 6.6km, give and take. I didn't stop at all though, and that's the only good thing that came out of the run. I feel like an old fart, as my knees were like some old rocking chair, creaking away as I tried to keep my rhythm. No regrets yet though, because I know that I'll do it!

It's been an entire week. Still waiting for my letter. No hurry though. =) This girl is changing my life, by making me a more patient and reasonable person. A lot of conflict and unhappiness can be avoided simply by TRYING to put ourselves into other people's shoes. This is my SLOOWWESTT friendship ever! In some ways, this feels like another Marathon, only that the prize is going to own the piece-of-crap medal, worthless cert and lousy finisher tee that StandChart gives. =)

climbing today was retarded.. i basically waited for jacob to climb den ill climb whatever he did.. and ssoo not on form la.. muscles still aching all over.. but still i did 12 routes, including 2 leads.. ssoo happie.. =)) and im on duty tomorrow! actually more like today la.. since its already past midnight.. this trip was the most relaxing and slack EVER.. free flow durian, rambutan, mangosteen.. when we feel like it, stop and play at the holes.. when we feel like it, we get out of the kayaks and swim in the holes.. when we feel like it, we sto.. =)

i got a swollen upper lip though, i did an 'AiChin' and kissed the rock.. had to use my tongue to check if my tooth was still there though, and found myself bleeding quite a bit.. now ive got my very own BATTLE SCAR! =))

bought lots of seafood today, at taka! cus mum and mel going bangkok for the week, so planning to learn how to cook.. went lib with keyf and borrowed a cookbook! wishh me luck, people..

im not in the best shape though.. my whole body is aching like someone beat me up really badd.. all cus i gym'ed quite hard yesterday during duty day.. i wanna get in shape for marathon, and fast! but now my chest area close to my arm pits are daammnn sore, my abs and my thighs hurt.. dieee.. all the muscles essential for a good paddle.. im so screwedd.. =/

and i just realized.. i left my booties at changi again! arghhs.. same as WWII.. sigh sigh.. but this time i dont have time to go and take.. guess ill go buy another pair of Tevas. roar..

hate to be so pessimistic, but if anything happens to me this weekend, id die a happie man knowing that i died doing something i loved.. =))

ahh ive too many things going on now! gotta organise my life a little and set some goals.. here goes..

completed my 3rd 1 star attachment last weekend, with a group from temasek poly.. now is the time to start teaching and begging for feedback and advice.. and im gonna set a goal for myself.. ill clear my Level 1 assessment before i ORD! =)

it is time to start to take the PUA Arts seriously.. if im good at it, it will just change my life.. i just know it.. not that i hate my life now.. instead, im loving every minute of it.. but if we can do something to improve our lives, we will do it right? setting another goal.. to have basic competence in being a PUA, and competent enough to go sarging with my bro.. all this, by february next yr.. =)

im becoming a fat slob.. i need to start exercising again! i think ill have to do something drastic to change my lifestyle.. becoming too sedentary, despite all the climbing and kayaking.. i shall sign up for standard chartered marathon this yr.. not too late to start training, i think.. heee.. i shall set a goal, to complete it under 5 hours! =)

went cable ski'ing with enric at east coast! haha it was fun.. though we could hardly stand.. we swam more than we ski'ed, and we waited more than we swam.. miraculous how fast an hour can pass, cus i learnt in AJ how long a 50 minute lecture can be.. its really expensive though, $32 for an hour.. =/

from wad i see, cable ski'ing is a lot like a relationship.. the most exciting and challenging part is the starting.. and its impossible to end without crashing..

saturday was the bestest duty we had, ever! since every saturday is station visit day, there weren't drills and other rubbish to do, so we just waited around for visitors to come, and for the first time in dunno how long, there weren't any visitors! plus, for the first only time ever, i brought my Wii to station! hahahha! everyone spent the entire day in the lounge, playing tennis, resident evil, baseball, and boxing.. damn fun la! discovered that kevz is quite pro at Wii stuff although he only played once, at cine.. fast learner.. jealous.. =/

spent the whole afternoon yesterday at lower seletar reservoir, for a kayak orientation programme.. but charles, joycelyn and i were in for a shock la.. half the participants were hearing-impaired! so the briefing resembled some malaysian news programme, cus joycelyn was talking and got someone beside her translating in sign language.. -_-" but it was cool la.. dont get to have contact with our disadvantaged frens that often, so it was really an eye-opener.. and im quite guilty though, cus charles did the activities himself, i didnt do anything at all! and we all got paid the same allowace..

spent our entire allowance on dinner at bugis with the senior coaches! they really know how to pass time! walked around bugis looking at stuff, den went TCC aka The Coffee Connoisseur aka Talk Cock Cafe.. really talked a lot of cock.. talk until they closed, den carried on talking until the off all the lights, and carried on talking, until just in time to catch the last train..

BEE IS BACCKK!! hahhaha im happie.. and mum's gonna be back on wednesday, so life is going back to normal.. =) just read bee's blog and it reminds me of my J1 years.. i sure hope she does better than me.. a lot better.. =p

im crazy, cus i think im gonna spend a thousand bucks this week.. just got a pair of oakleys off eBay for almost $200, a couple of books from Kino for almost $100(some of which i left at ClimbAsia..), and im gonna get a pair of Ray Bans for another $250, a pair of shoes for $150.. arrgghh.. i need to be a coach soon, and earn some extra cash.. heh..

Bee just flew to Shanghai, Jackie-jie just flew to New Zealand, Franklin's going back to Shanghai and Mum is going to Perth.. Everyone is flying! Everyone except me. hmmm.. but people come and go, cus Buddy MeiJie is coming back from the US! after like dunno how many months.. =) no more days and nights without a lunch/dinner companion, or shopping buddy!! hheehe..

and i finally talked to Vanda today! hahaha.. she has such a glib tongue la! haha and so do i, so i think we are on our way to become great frens! lol.. =))

had climbing session with the WhiteWater Crew(WW Kru) today.. i think all forms of exercise and exertion can really take mind off things.. climbed my sorrows away.. =p not that i have many, actually.. im a happy teen.. and ohh i finally know the names of the ClimbAsia girls who always say hi to me.. hahaha!

yeah i think im a really shy kid.. ive dont think twice when i say the most daring things to ppl, and guts to do the most dangerous stuff, but ive no balls to actually approach ppl and talk to them.. working on that though..

and sadness!! KNNBCCB.WTF.OMG.KFC.BBQ.ATM.ERP!! i bought 2 books from Kino for almost fifty bucks, and i left them at ClimbAsia! sighh.. realized only when i reached home, and i tried calling ClimbAsia but obviously they were closed.. nvm la ill call again tmr.. if cant get back, then it would be a really expensive lesson..

ahh finally fulfilled my promise to meiying and rounded ubin together today.. =) hahaha it was damn tiring for me though, cus im old and frail, and i climbed yesterday night until damn late.. but no water nor wind can stop the 5 trainers, meiying, siti, joycelyn, myra and i, from completing our expedition! ROARR!!

this trip just reinforces my dislike for expeditions.. id really rather playboat or run a river.. surf or simply train skills.. anything but expe.. thats why, choosing between WW3, Sebana Cove expe and possibly the AJ sea expe which all happens on the same weekend, im definitely going for the river.. hope the paddlers on the other two expes enjoy themselves.. =)

yesterday's climbing was superb! can feel myself improving.. muahaha! and jacob and hee are encouraging me to go for Instructor course instead of Supervisor course.. dunno whyy but they seem to have more faith in me than i have faith in myself.. =/ and i should really go for the dunno wad rubbish NCAPS thingy soon.. all these stoopid certification seems rather impt in singapore..

YYARR HHHOOOOOO!! station audits are finally over! more or less.. hahah! =)) that makes me a verrryyy happie guy! yeah theres still 2 weeks of surprise audits left, but cant really prepared nor do much about that, so ill choose to ignore that. =) 4 more months to go, before im free as a bird.. how time flies when ur having fun. hehh..

ohhh saturday was 24th odac investiture! haha ssoo long nv see the rest of the batch, and the rest of the juniors.. and i helped to wash the rock wall! ahhaaha.. incredibly tough work, i gotta admit.. and dammnn dirrty! i didnt take any pics though. once i get them from mr chin and the cedarian, den ill TRY to post em. =)

and while at the rock wall, found out that yunlin and i have got the same birthday! our conversation went something like this:

WOOOOOOT! today was my most enjoyable Ubin trip EVER! hahahha! the funny thing is, it was meant to be a Round Ubin trip, but BSIL myra and i ended up going to the jetty and renting bicycles. ahahah! and we met up with 3 Smux dudeys. zaoyi, lucas and one more guy i dunno his name. hehh.. went all over the island for some recce thingy for Smux. they seem a frenly bunch la, especially lucas.. hes like some caring big brother. HAHA!

den for lunch, myra and i had UBIN CRAB. it was sssoo nice and sweet! and the coconut was ssoo fresh! hahah den the bike auntie daammnn nice, gave us a bunch of big juicy rambutans.. den we had UBIN DURIAN. yummmmy.. i like ubin. i think if i stay there ill grow fat and chubby and rolly polly. =)

after myra went for her family dinner, i went to smu to meet CAL.. to climb at the smu wall. the smu climb team quite frenly too, though not at first.. hahah! i felt so ignored la! like im there to snatch their places liddat. but it got a lot better la, think they're kinda cool.. =)

ohh and i tried the routes. damnn ghey.. dun like the way the features on the wall are essential.. it was ssoo hard to find the holds la! harder than organic chem.. =(

it seems like its the right choice to have chosen smu instead of ntu. but somehow i feel as if im copying my bro and following in his footsteps.. had a good time at AJ, not having to be compared to my bro. will it be cat high all over again at smu? well, time will tell.. =)

first time i talked to bee yesterday night! haha and i still think its damn funny the way she ranted on and on bout her maths teacher! ssoo refreshing to talk to someone new, who knows nothing bout me and vice versa. =) we chatted bout random stuff for almost an hour i think, but it seemed to be over so quickly. had to constantly check my watch cus after all, shes supposed to be studying. LoL!

after duty today, went for the opening of sembawang water venture. lost my way la! the place ssoo ulu. luckily i flagged this van to ask for street directory, and turned out the bangla driver was osso trying to get to the same place! second time in my life i hitched a ride. hahaha! in case ur interested, the first time was after canoe polo training with CAL at ntu a couple of months ago. it ended ssoo late, no more trains and buses. so i stuck my thumb out at the few cars passing by, and one guy who was some alumni guy stopped and picked us up! dropped us at TOA PAYOH. amazing la! hahaha..

yep the world is filled with nice frenly and helpful ppl! although most of the time, they are shy to offer a hand even if they see someone in need. so, go out today, and if u see someone lost or not enough change to take bus, lend a hand. it will make the world a better place. =)

hey everyone. ive finally made THE decision concerning my immediate future.. decided to go SMU to do Econs. instead of Mech Engy at NTU.. id probably do okay-ly in engineering la, but i dun think i like it. econs and maths is so much more interesting and appealing! plus SMU's environment trumps NTU anytime. ;)

totally looking forward to SMU, but i think ive to like.. work doubly hard.. cus i dropped econs in jc.. bleah.. stoopid ng puay san.. hehhh..

just heard.. bee and cannerf broke up.. sighhh.. they were such a CUTTEE couple! yeah was telling her.. some relationships are like ducks, look so peaceful on the surface, but paddling furiously underneath.. and itold her too, that she was like a solar eclipse, ssoo rare to appear, but nevertheless each appearance is very special. =)

had macarons and chicken stew and baby spinach salad with CAL tonight at Cadele Cafe at Raffles City. macarons were niccee! =)) and CAL lost her wallet.. hmmmm.. poor gal.

hahaha hey babies im backk! my suicide attempt failed so here i am to blog about it. =) yeah i got stuck under a fallen tree.. along with najip (malaysian kayaker), enric and aichin. it was a little crowded in there. hahahah!

the first day was at the upper section of Slim, so it was faster, narrower, and more difficult.. i didnt run into major problems though.. but second day at middle section was different.. i was capsizing like nobody's business, kena stuck under strainer, smacked into a rock, and hurt my elbow on the last boulder of the last drop of the last rapid of the last day.. SUCCKKSS.. well i shouldnt be such a wuss.. cus AiChin kissed a rock quite forcefully on the first day, kena a scar on her eyebrow that needed stitches, and her mouth was quite swollen. and u know wad.. she continued on the second day! damn tough.. my idol.. =)

got 2 things quite sad though. BSIL/BKB myra was sick and couldnt join us. no one to dare me to do stupid things. and no retarded laughter on the bus rides. bboorrinnggg... and the other thing is.. it wasnt durian season in perak! siaann.. so.. one weekend in perak.. no myra no durian. only got many many mosquito bites. arrgghhh! im ssoo looking forward to WWIII.. =)

hahah the time has come to shout out loud.. Adios Amigos! jeremy and his red lycra is off to Ulu Slim in Perak again for Round 2.. ;)

WWII is finally here after a couple of weeks of planning, and 2 mths without seeing the rapids had gotten us all quite high and frisky. GET US TO A RIVER BEFORE WE HURT SOMEBODY! haha! but i think this trip wont be as fun as the last one, cus BKB/BSIL(only we know wad it stands for..) myra wont be around to disturb me. she sick with something, so hope she gets well really soon. =)

bleahh.. 6 hours before i leave singapore and im on my way to changi to get my booties cus i left em there. den ahh long, farhan and fayrus call me, say,

"PHYSICAL RECALL!" i went,
"KNNBCCB! WTF! OMG! BBQ! KFC!"

cab'ed from changi, and the cabbie quite helpful and understanding, average speed around 100km/h. I LIKE! haha i think the thing i miss most after i ORD in November will be the chiongster vehicles! nothing feels like sitting in the red rhino and weaving in and out of traffic, mounting the kerb while doing fast U-turns, beating the red lights and all the other stuff that i think i cant mention. hehh.

2 more weeks and the new batch of privates and sergeants are coming in. SOONNGG. the 2nd last batch that ill see. as they say, time flies when ur having fun.

hey there everybody!

its been a while since my last post, not cus bothings been happening, but i think so much has happened that i dun have time to write bout em.. haha and now that im gonna blog about the past 10 days, i dunno where to start.. =p

bleah. the station's School Engagement Programme, which im in charge of, is getting rather busy. and the frigging OM's arent cooperating as much as i expected. quite pissing. make it as if im BEGGING them to let me visit their bloody schools. grrr. =(

saturday and sunday's 1 star course had been my 2nd attachment and i stuck with janice all the way. haha the group was awwe-sommed! very enthu and follow instructions well, and thats every trainer's dream! ahha. =)

going malaysia again this weekend to paddle down Slim. i heard that its gonna be a long trip and so i havent climbed in almost 2 weeks, to save my arms to paddle. haha! im sure WW2 will be as fun as WW1, if not more fun! =)) cant wait for the weekend to come..

saturday was great. one of the happiest days of my life. =)

i lurrved friday the 13th! hahhaah.. went kayaking with BKB(best kayak buddy) Myra! haha we supposed to meet and 1230, but we both damn late! hahah.. just need a little getting used to. =) anyways we spent the entire time in the water planning for the next odac outing.

damn long nv see the rest of the odacians le. =( cant rmb when was the last time we met. anyways we came up with a whole load of activities! bbq(as usual), overnight at ubin, overnight at hotel room, wakeboarding, windsurfing, science centre, discovery centre, watch a play, blah blah etc. but i think july den can meet cus we all seem rather busy now. sighhhh.. =/

back to friday the 13th. after kayaking we intended to go suntec for the IT fair. but while walking at CityLink, damn hungry, so ate at New York New York. wahhh. ordered too much! hahahahha but eat until damn sonnggg.. hahha. ill upload some pics if i know how to. =p den while eating, we saw the walkway outside newyorknewyork completely jammed up! no one was moving and got some ppl shouting and stuff. stayed that way damn long. finally some ppl rushed into NewYorkNewYork to bypass the bottleneck. hahah it was damn funny a sight! yeah after seeing that we decided dun go IT fair le.. =p

went suntec to watch Kung Fu Panda instead! ahhaha.. it was nice! funny funny! but then, everyone was telling me so much about the show, how amazing and fantastic it was, such that i had sky-high expectations that the show couldnt live up to. bleh.

oohhh it was trainers night tonight at changi.. =) but the turnout wasnt very good i think. i think about 30 trainers turned up? and about 10 were L1 T's, including me.. and a number were oldies whom ive nv seen before in my time at changi. hahah! yeah im ready to take my assessment! hi guys, these 2 off days are like my most happening ever! hahaha.. after a nap at station, went to ClimbAsia to climb with Nigel, and he climbs until damn fierce damn shiong, i think he can do like a million pull-ups. den he told me he thinks he sleep walks, and does 2 finger pull-ups while slp walking. heh. farnie guy. but i think he was serious. =/

den after that straightaway chiong to East Coast with TingSheng, cus we taking part in the AJ Alumni Dunno What Shit organisation's night cycling. quite farnie cus TingSheng not from AJ, and he's the one who invited me. lol. haha my first time cycling on the road lei, could imagine myself swerving into the path of some cement mixer. thankfully didnt happen, cus at night dont really have cement mixers. =) MeiYing almost kena langa by this HHUUGGEE BUSS! no worries though, notice the word 'almost'? =) anyway went to east coast to sentosa to east coast via lau pa sat. tiredd..

after cycling, our eyes half open. so when on the bus to changi we talk talk talk, suddenly TingSheng quiet. i look at him. his eyes closed. so i shake my head and close my eyes osso. when i open my eyes again, we at changi already. MAGICAL! met Cedar and 'Bernard' during breakfast. they look damn cute together, heh, but not when they gang up on me. today rained ssoo heavily, i wear 3 layers of clothing plus my buoyancy vest i still shivering. dumb. did my normal rolls and strokes and felt my shoulder hurting again, which is not a good sign. so i just stopped paddling and go home lor.

slpt like a pig. a real one literally. woke up at 845, and missed my meeting with the whitewater people. sighh. looking forward to WWII, hope its as fun as WWI. =))

i did a route. not just any route. but a boulder problem that everyone else i know cannot do! one that even the great Nigel himself has said is 'IMPOSSIBLE!' now i feel like Chris Sharma, the greatest climber of our time. damn shen! but we all know im nowhere near him la. nowhere near the best even in climbasia. hahaha! chill people, im working on it.. =)

convinced LTA Ho to let me handover Logs secondary appointment to Sgt Fadzli. =)) mega happy! =)) Logs had been such a major problem for me, cus everyday got new updates and no one appreciates ur efforts. had been THE thing that had been giving me stress.

but now Kevz handing School Engagement to me. siannz. means ive to go all the schools to talk bout us and how zai we are. =/ our gonna be the overall in charge in station. WTF. dunno if will have any trouble in audit. siannz.

SinYee osso feeling stressed, say got lotsa stuff to fret over. i probe more, the next day she tell me her problems are solved. =/ i know time solves anything, but that fast??! hahha im happy for her! and shes been really helpful, along with Jwen, by listening to my problems and helping me get by whenever i think i reach a deadend. =) these are the people u share ur Toto windfall with. =p but i still think guys are nicer to go out with, and gers are nicer to talk to. the ger who is both nice to talk to and go out with, well, i could just have a special place for u, haha!

ahh. the past 5 days had been without work. means no drills, no calls, no reports, no PT. =)) and the past 5 days had been nothing but kayaking and climbing! hahah rockss!

completed my first ever full 1 star attachment today.. haha! aiming to have my assessment in july with joycelyn.. hopefully can pass in one try.. hopefully..

today was Sgt Wong's last duty. Bishan Fire Station's cheena clan just lost our most vocal and comical character. sighh i think work be the same from now on. really dont feel like working anymore.. =(

now left ed, kevz, cauliflower and me.. (just enough to play mahjong!) the only good thing i can see from this is that.. ive got 5 mths left on my sentence. my 22-month sentence, for my crime of being born a guy in singapore.. booo..

im feeling quite stressed from my work.. all the logistics and paperwork.. everyone seems to think NS in SCDF damn slack. maybe they should try for a single duty. physical and mental endurance im telling you.. decided to take friday off.. i really need a break. got climbing or kayaking or something.

speaking of kayaking, got 3 full attachments coming up. after them ill do my assessment, probably in july. then ill be a coach. yay. =/

indiana jones was nice. this instalment is, less action packed and more of sci-fi. absurd storyline and the ending was quite an anti-climax. mum liked it though, so thats all that matters, heh. i think she likes harrison ford. =/

=( im sadded.. after looking forward to it for so long, didnt manage to go SMU tonight to climb. all cus of one stupid flu injection.. make my arms jiao jiao like jellyfish limbs.. can u believe that my arms cui until couldnt even hold a cup of water?? im ssoo pissed.. wonder if Dickson Ting Sheng Nigel had fun, but im pretty much sure that they did. arghh dunno if will have another chance to go.. =( if dun have, ill really be kicking myself..

today was IPPT! as usual the first 4 stations got A, but my 2.4km run.. ssiighhhh.. CMI! yeah got A, but 20 seconds from Gold.. 20 seconds from an extra $100 bucks. siann.. but not badd la.. managed a silver, even though havent run for like, 6 months? i think i actually improved my timing from the last time i took.. i really gotta learn to be contented, i guess..

my $300 a month allowance secured, all the way until i ORD in november. got extra hundred bucks some more, cus get silver.. hehh.. i think Jason will be damn sian, got one week to train his broad jump and pull-ups, the two hardest stations to train.. tsktsk.. if still fail, den $1800 fly away.. really SBS(sibei sian)..

first time in dunno how long that i chased a bus, and the friggin' 88 drove away without me. he actually looked like he was waiting for me, but i run until the exit door there, then he sped off. sigghhh, left me there looking like a dodo.. -_-'

Welcome back Mr and Mrs Ho!! haha missed you two totally! didnt manage to climb much without you guys around. ended up bouldering loads, heh..

for those of you not in the loop, Jacob and AiChin are THE outdoor people ull wanna know! whether for advice, guidance or mere rubbish, they are the ones with an unlimited supply of them. =) they were my kayaking 4 star coaches in Ramunia, and are super duper cool people! climb, surf, dive, whitewater kayaking, you name it, they do it, and are actually very good at them too. frankly, meeting them had changed my lifestyle quite drastically, and im now like some outdoor freak. =/

climbing today with Jacob AiChin Laura and Shan was AWESOOMMEE! i think the two weeks of bouldering helped, can actually feel myself improving, even if by a little. =) but damn sian, felt a sharp pain in my left arm.. again! hope its not some permanent injury..

and the worst thing, is that my IPPT is tomorrow! my $300 a month allowance depends on my performance tomorrow, so it really is a bad time to be injured. thanks Fayrus for offering to give Eddie, Jason and I a lift. although I always suan you, you're stilla nice guy. hehh.

going to SMU to climb at tomorrow night! going with Nigel and Ting Sheng, invited by Dickson. =) hope my arm recovers by tmr! heh. alright ill tell you how it goes tmr.. =)

Eddees.. Life hasn't been the same, without you around anymore. I no longer look the same as before. I really need you and am missing you bad. Don't know if I can carry on without you.. can you please come back?

*Sighhh*.. Ever since Eddees left for Kallang, I dont't know who to turn to le. Last time, just give a call, tell her what time I coming, then she will be waiting for me. Now, trying hard to find another hairstylist as good as her. I've tried the other stylists at Rave, Pointers and SuperCuts, but all not up to the standard. So now, Ive to live with not-so-nice hair, and it ain't something I'm happy to live with.

Yinhai is an idiot. Jio me go breakfast on friday, then pangseh me. Basket. There I was, fantasizing about Ya Kun kaya toast and eggs, having orgasm after orgasm, only to be let down when morning came. The girls were right once again. All guys are bastards.

At night, Cheez's dinner and movie at 9 at amk hub became dinner at 7 with no movie. i chose to absent myself and changed course to town for dinner with YuQin. first time i ate at Food Republic! dont understand what all the hype was about. the food was so-so and the dessert was damn expensive. zzz.

Looking forward to June. Whitewater. Until then, life sucks, take drugs.

i hate all u long limbed long bodied asses.. i really really hate u.. hehh. maybe i should just accept that i havent got a climber's build huh. nahh thats like giving up. well all i know is that i have to put in a lot more work if im ever gonna be a good enough climber. =)

gonna set a goal for myself.. i shall train hard, until i win a competition! hahaha havent taken part in any bouldering comp before. shall take part in my first next yr. =) look forward to me climbing alongside u, all u tall freaks out there!

monday was one hell of a boring duty, as are all monday duties. dont know why, its just the way we drag ourselves to work and try to take leave. lazy monday, i call it. and yeah the whole day had no calls except one miserable oil spillage.. all Sir's fault. come bishan whole day go wash floor only.. hehh..

had my dental on tuesday! there was this girl around my age at the waiting area opposite me and she kept looking, no, staring at me! so i did wad any other person wud do. i stared back. now all of u expecting a fight are gonna be disappointed, cus the girl wasnt the ah lian why-u-stare-at-me type. she was just.. a typical girl. but hell her response wasnt typical. she giggled. not the smile-to-myself giggle, but the hee-hee-hee kinda giggle. o_0" i looked around, found a magazine and buried my face in it.

and now i know why so many people so scared of dentists. 'ur teeth edges quite jagged. wan me to smoothen them out for u?' -ZZEEEHHHHHHHHHHHHH!!- 'ok done'. ouch. thanks. ruthless efficiency at its best.

ohhhh.. went town after that and SHHOOPPPED.. projectbloodbrosshop having a sale.. but yeah all the good sizes were out so only bought one shirt. =( den FCUK had a sale too! but no size for me la. FCUK meant for big beefy guys. nothing for the puny-sized-ones.. mio had a one for one sale, so i bought two leather bracelets, one to give as a gift. ohh first time ever i ventured into the frangraces part of taka.. this gay looking guy in a suit pounced on me, held me in an arm lock, and smiled. 'would u like to try our fragrances?' well i didnt turn out as bad as i had thought. i was actually liking a couple of em. especially acqua di gio men by armani.. hehh.. dang im becoming like a girl.

asked jwen if her online shop stocks armani, and she replied, 'Nope! close shop le. HAHA' hmmmm.. that was some short lived business venture.. =/ speaking of jwen, shes the first to know bout this blog. asked her what she thought bout my first entry, and she was honest. way too honest. 'lame shit'
